Maxine Neil
Reflections on a life well lived.
Maxine was a praying woman who loved The Lord. She was a woman of faith, strength, passion and compassion. Quiet and unassuming in her demeanor, she had a presence that was both at once commanding and comforting. She lived out the acronym WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?). Her faith was a faith of action. This was seen in her mentorship and her dedicated volunteer work with Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter. She gave of her means to support an AIDS orphanage in Kenya as well as assisting with the sponsorship of a student attending the Seventh Day Adventist College in Uganda.
She loved her children and children in general. In honor of her mother, she worked to establish the Dorothy Knight Children’s Music Fund. She was always ready with a warm smile, a gentle laugh and an encouraging word.
She was a woman of faith that when she next opens her eyes will behold the face of her savior and loving Lord, Jesus Christ.
